PHASENSTABILITAT METHANOLHALTIGER VERGASERKRAFTSTOFFE

1990
Liquid-liquid phase separation can occur when adding methanol to gasoline, esp. in the presence of water. This undesired effect can be prevented by special solubilizers. A classification for such solubilizers is given. For the calculation of the phase stability as a function of gasoline and its contents of methanol, solubilizer and water a new computer assisted modelling is introduced. Esp. the range of low methanol contents in which strong changes of phase stability occur was experimentally investigated
