Bioefficacy of newer insecticides against sucking pests and natural enemies of transgenic cotton
2014
Foliar application of acetamiprid 20 SP @ 0.004% was most effective against aphids up to 14 DAT, however, its lower dose (0.002%) and thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 0.01% were effective against aphids up to 10 DAT. Lower concentration (0.005%) of thiamethoxam 25 WG and imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.008% reduced the population of aphids up to 5 DAT and 7 DAT respectively. Acetamiprid 20 SP @ 0.004% and thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 0.01% were most effective against jassids up to 14 DAT. However, lower doses of acetamiprid 20 SP and thiamethoxam 25 WG were also effective in reducing jassid population up to 14 DAT.
