The invention provides a self-organizing routing method facing a mobile sensor network. In contrast with the existing on-demand routing method, the innovations of the self-organizing routing method are: (1) a layer number is used to limit the broadcasting and forwarding of a routing control message and to control the hop count of a transmission path; (2) a portion of member nodes are nominated as the routing nodes according to requirement in the route discovery process so as to ensure communication among cluster heads; and (3) load balancing is carried out by adopting a multi-path transmission manner according to the factors of the path, such as residual energy, hop count and transmission reliability. The self-organizing routing method provided by the invention can greatly improve the transmission reliability of the wireless sensor network in comparison with the existing protocol, and the network data collection efficiency is improved by at least three times in comparison with the existing method. The method provided by the invention can effectively limit the routing control message broadcasting and the hop count of the transmission path, and can effectively ensure the communication among the cluster heads by monitoring the forwarding of a routing request and nominating the routing nodes. The multi-path transmission manner can improve the protocol performance in time delay and reliability.
