High angle of attack maneuvering via intelligent approaches

2003
This paper presents a controller for a class of linear systems. The model is based on firstly, sliding mode control (SMC), secondary, fuzzy logic control (FLC), finally, fuzzy sliding control (FSC) and uses a combination of aerodynamic surface and reaction jet thrusters to achieve controllability beyond stall. Simulation results illustrate the main characteristics and performance of this approach. The comparison between the results of SMC, FLC, and FSC is presented. In this paper, an approach has been used for designing controller structures for autopilot missile system such as fuzzy-based controller at high angle of attack. Fuzzy logic offers a very promising approach to autopilot missile design, and provides an attractive solution for such systems.
