Utilização de diferentes recipientes na propagação da ameixeira através de estacas

An experiment was carried out in the greenhouse with intermitent mist to compare four types of countainers in the rooting of plum cuttings. The cuttings were taken from growing stems of cultivars Frontier and Reubennel, having 12cm length, on which one was left two half leaves and it was made two laterals lesions in the base. The cuttings base were treated by immersion in a solution of indolebutyric acid (IBA) of 2000mg.L-1 concentration, for five seconds. Subsequently, the cuttings were distributed in different containers: plastics tubets, styrofoam trays (128 cells), polyethilene bags (14x20cm) and polyethilene bags (10x17cm), containing vermiculite as substrate. The experiment was completely randomized with tree replications and eleven cuttings per plot. After 70 days, there wasn't significant difference between cultivars on the rooting percentages. In styrofoam trays were observed the lowest percentages of rooting. The highest number of root per cut was obtained in the cv. Frontier. The highest weigth of dry matter was observed in cv. Frontier cuts planted in the largest polyethilene bags. In general, the biggest container, the longest root. The amount and movement of substrate is reduced with plastics tubets, without reducing rooting cuttings.
