Comparative study of anti-anxiety and anti-depression function of QiShen FuKang Capsule with Rhodiola rosea in plateau environment

Objective To observe capacity of QiShen FuKang Capsule of anti-anxiety and anti-depression under conditions of plateau stress by comparative it between QiShen FuKang Capsule and Rhodiola rosea.Methods 86 soldiers were randomly divided into three groups,the first group had 35 people treated with QiShen FuKang Capsule,the second group had 30 people treated with Rhodiola rosea,and the third group had 21 people treated with placebo.Gave preventive medication 2 weeks ago before entering the plateau and continued to take medicine two weeks after entering the plateau.SAS and SDS were used to evaluate anxiety and depression.Results Soldiers felt anxious and depressed.The anxiety score of QiShen FuKang group was significantly lower than that of the placebo group(t=3.61,P0.05).There was no significant difference of anxiety scores between QiShen FuKang group and Rhodiola rosea group(t=1.01,P=0.32).The depression score of QiShen FuKang group was significantly lower than that of the Rhodiola rosea group and the placebo group(P0.05).Conclusion QiShen FuKang Capsule has obvious effect of anti-anxiety and anti-depression.Anti-anxiety effect is almost the same with Rhodiola rosea and anti-depression effect is stronger than Rhodiola rosea.
