Cesium containing phases in wood ash of the Chernobyl region; Tsezijsoderzhashchie fazy v drevesnykh zolakh Chernobyl'skogo rajona

2009
Element and phase compositions of ashes, which were obtained burning off wood from Borispyil'sky and Chernobyl regions of Kiev area, were investigated. A basic element in ashes is calcium. Phase composition of all of ashes is oxiphosphate calcium Ca{sub 4}O(PO{sub 4}){sub 2}. Presence of cesium at ashes gives in formation of one more phosphate CaP{sub 2}O{sub 6}. Formation of self-contained phases of cesium doses not occur. Increment of temperature of heat treatment up to 700 degree C gives in fractures of a part of phosphate which correlates with decrease of the content of cesium in ashes. In the interval temperature of 20-500 degree C cesium is in composition of phosphates.
