Curative effect of irbesartan combined with felodipine sustained-release tablets in the treatment of hyperten-sion complicating by diabetes mellitus and its effect on serum TGF-β and urinary albumin

2018
Objective To investigate the curative effect of irbesartan combined with felodipine sustained-release tablets in the treatment of hypertension complicating by diabetes mellitus and its effect on serum transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and urinary albumin (mAlb). Methods 103 patients with hypertension complicating by diabetes mellitus were divided into control group (n=51) and observation group (n=52) according to the therapeutic methods. The control group was treated with felodipine sustained release tablets, and the observation group was treated with irbesartan on the basis of the control group. Clinical effect, the levels of renal function indicators [mAlb, creatinine (Scr), endogenous creatinine clearance (Ccr), urea nitrogen (BUN)], serum TGF-β level, and quality of life (SF-36) score of both groups were analyzed and compared. Results The clinical effect of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (Z=4.011, P=0.000). After 2 months of treatment, the levels of Ccr, Scr, BUN, mAlb, and serum TGF-βlevel were better than those before treatment in both groups, and those in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05). After 2 months of treatment, the SF-36 scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the SF-36 scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Felodipine sustained release tablets combined with irbesartan has significant effect in the treatment of hypertension complicating by diabetes mellitus, which can significantly improve the renal function and serum TGF-β level, helps to improve their quality of life, with important application value.
