Measurement and calculation of the far-infrared conductivity of two (TMTSF)2X salts in the spin-density-wave state

1986
Abstract The far-infrared reflectivities of (TMTSF) 2 AsF 6 and (TMTSF) 2 SbF 6 at 6K, when they are in their spin-density-wave semiconducting phase, have been measured by a composite-bolometer technique. The resulting conductivities for two polarizations, E ∥ a and E ∥ b ′, are presented. These results agree qualitatively with calculations of the conductivity using published energy bands and a simple charge-density-wave coupling theory.
