ИНТРАЦЕРЕБРАЛЬНЫЙ КАЛЬЦИНОЗ У ПАЦИЕНТА С ХРОНИЧЕСКИМ ВОСПАЛИТЕЛЬНЫМ ЗАБОЛЕВАНИЕМ КИШЕЧНИКА

A case report of association of intracerebral calcification with progressive motor, affective and cognitive disorders in a patient with long lasting severe inflammatory bowel disease is presented. Pathogenesis, symptoms and diagnostic algorithm of intracerebral calcification are reviewed. The up-to-date diagnostic criteria of familial idiopathic calcification of basal ganglia (Fahr disease) are presented. The possible causes of symptomatic cases of intracranial calcification are considered.
