The effect of organizational commitment on occupation burnout among nurses

Objective: To explore the effect of organizational commitment on occupation burnout among nurses.Methods: Totally 432 clinical nurses were interviewed by the Organizational Commitment Scale and Occupation Burnout Scale.Pearson correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were used to analyze the data.Results:① The mean scores of organizational commitment and occupation burnout among nurses were(2.12±0.41) and(3.91±0.55),respectively; ② Pearson correlation analysis showed that organizational commitment was negatively correlated with each dimension of organizational commitment(P0.05); ③ Hierarchical regression analysis showed that age and organizational commitment were the influencing factors of occupation burnout among nurses.Conclusions: The nurses have poor organizational commitment and serious occupation burnout,and the organizational commitment is the important influencing factor of occupation burnout among nurses.
