Current Status of Fe-Based Nanocrystalline Soft Magnetic Alloys

Nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloy is characterized by higher saturation magnetic induction strength, high permeability and low high-frequency power loss. Three kinds of iron-based nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloys, known as Finemet, Nanoperm and Hitperm, are successively discussed. The composition, magnetic properties, microstructure and the application region of various alloys are presented and their nanocrystallization processes from the amorphous precursors also briefly introduced.
