Method for inquiring mobile terminal position and platform thereof

The invention discloses a method for inquiring a mobile terminal position by using an IM tool and a platform thereof. The method comprises the following steps: an IM user sends a position inquiring request to an IM robot server in an inquiring platform of the mobile terminal position through an instant communication way, and the position inquiring request comprises user information and target mobile terminal information; the IM robot server carries out protocol conversion and analysis on the position inquiring request, and a positioning inquiring request is submitted to a positioning gateway through a position monitoring service processing unit in the inquiring platform of the mobile terminal position; and the positioning gateway positions the target mobile terminal according to the target mobile terminal information and returns the position information to the inquiring platform of the mobile terminal position. The invention combines the position inquiring technology with the IM tool and utilizes the characteristic of the instant communication of the IM tool so as to provide convenient monitoring service for a user through binding the authority of an IM user account and positioning surveillance.
