Clinical Observation of Rotating and Reconstructive Manipulation in Treating Nerve Root Cervical Spondylopathy

2014
Objective: To observe the safety and efficacy of the rotating and reconstructive manipulation in treating nerve root cervical spondylopathy. Methods: Sixty-four patients with nerve root cervical spondylopathy were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 32 cases in each group. All the patients were treated with the tendon-regulation massage and the treatment group was treated with the rotating and reconstructive manipulation in addition. The course of treatment was4 weeks, with 2 times per week. The clinical efficacy and safety were observed, and the degree of pain was evaluated by Mc Gill Pain Questionnaire( MPQ). Results: The total effective rates of treatment group and control group were 90. 0% and 69. 0%respectively,and the clinical efficacy of treatment group was better than that of the control group( P 0. 05). After treatment, the total scores of sensory dimension and affective dimension of MPQ and VAS scores were decreased significantly( P 0. 05),and the scores of treatment group were lower than those of the control group( P 0. 05). There were no adverse events in both groups in the course of treatment. Conclusion: The rotating and reconstructive manipulation can correct the joint semidislocation and sinews off-position,which has better clinical effect and is safe in treating nerve root cervical spondylopathy.
