The present invention relates to a method for preparing polyetherketoneketone and, more specifically, to a method for preparing polyetherketoneketone and polyetherketoneketone prepared thereby, wherein at the time of a polymerization reaction, nitrogen gas is blown into a liquid reaction mediator with agitation, thereby promptly removing hydrochloric acid as a byproduct generated during the reaction and preventing agglomeration of resin particles, thus suppressing generation of scales, in the present invention, whereas nitrogen gas inside a reactor is simply purged in the prior art.
