Tumor de cÈlulas granulares de la mama. PresentaciÛn de un caso. Tumor of granular cells frequent. Presentation of a case.

2011
The tumor of granular cells is a well-recognized lesion of controverted histogenesis, that can present itself in diverse places of the body, among them the mammary tissue- so much of females and of males. In this last location, the tumor can clinically simulate malignity, an aspect of great importance. We describe a case with tumor of breast granular cells. A 40-year-old female patient with a nodular lesion in superior-external quadrant of the left breast with a 20mm diameter; firm, non-displaceable to the touch, with an imagenologic study with suspicion of malignity. Fine-needle aspiration was performed, but the diagnosis was not conclusive enough and exeresis of the nodule was suggested. Diagnosis of a tumor with granular cells was defined, in a biopsy-by-paraffin and inmuno-histochemical studies were conducted as to protein S-100 and CD68. We conclude that in spite of it being a lesion of less frequent presentation in breast tissue, so much of females and of males, as to the simulation of malignity, one must always keep in mind the differential diagnoses of breast nodular pathology. Key words: breast, tumor, cancer, granular cells, inmuno-histochemical.
