원저 : 내소황련탕(內疎黃連湯) 및 구성약물의 항균활성에 관한 실험적 연구

Objective : To evaluate the antimicrobial activities of Naesohwangryuntang and its composition oriental medicines against Streptococcus mutans, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus studies were done experimentally. Methods : Antimicrobial activities were assayed through the hot water extracts and the ethanol extracts from Naesohwangryuntang and its composition oriental medicines. The strains were incubated on culture medium and activated. We observed the size of inhibition zone on the strains that is incubated in strilized filter paper disc with various concentration extracts of Naesohwangryuntang and its composition. Results : The extracts of Naesohwangryuntang, Coptidis Rhizoma, Rhei Rhizoma, Paeoniae Radix, Gardeniae Fructus, Arecae Semen, Scutellariae Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix showed antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus. The extracts of Naesohwangryuntang, Coptidis Rhizoma, Forsythiae Fructus, Rhei Rhizoma, Paeoniae Radix, Gardeniae Fructus, Arecae Semen, Scutellariae Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix showed antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus epidermidis. The water extracts of Naesohwangryuntang, Rhei Rhizoma, Paeoniae Radix, Coptidis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix showed antimicrobial activities against Streptococcus mutans. The extracts of Coptidis Rhizoma showed antimicrobial activities against Candida albicans. All of the extracts showed no antimicrobial activities against Escherichia coli. Conclusion : We observed antimicrobial activities of Naesohwangryuntang and its composition against Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus.
