[Risk factors in the development of fibro-cavernous pulmonary tuberculosis and its outcomes].

1991
: A number of social and clinical factors has been revealed which contribute to the development of fibrocavernous pulmonary tuberculosis in patients under the present conditions (alcoholism in 56%, inadequate treatment 52%, serious concurrent diseases 48.2%, unsatisfactory material and living conditions 51.1%). The decisive role in the development of this form of tuberculosis in subjects aged over 50 years was played by serious concurrent diseases and in younger subjects by sociomedical factors: previous staying in labour-reformatory establishments (70%) and alcoholism and narcomania (90%).
