Survey for Rural Transit Assistance Program

This report presents the results of a survey among rural transportation agencies regarding overall effectiveness of the Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP) in California. RTAP was created by Congress in 1986 and is designed to provide training, technical assistance and other resources to rural and urban transit operators through out the state. Survey results describe the number of employees in the transit operator’s organization, their service areas, training programs, training budgets and other related information regarding RTAP activities and the implementation of the program.
