MEASUREMENT OF REFLECTED SOLAR RADIATION OF URBAN PAVEMENT MATERIALS

This paper discusses the outdoor pavement material used in cities in Taiwan and the amount of reflected solar radiation released. The study sample comprises a selection of high-pressure concrete slabs, divided into white and gray types. The white samples include white flat tiles, iridescent crystal sandblasted tiles, sandblasted tiles and terrazzo tiles; and the gray samples include gray flat tiles, rustic tiles and permeable tiles, for a total of seven kinds. A tool is developed in this study to aid the screening of the external environment during the measurement process, according to the design proposed by Sailor.
