乙醇对五步蛇(Agkistrodon acutus)毒毒性的影响

Objective To explore the effect of ethanol on the toxicity of the Agkistrodon acutus venom. Methods Observed the toxicity of venom under different concentrations of lethal dose of Agkistrodon acutus venom treated with different concentrations of ethanol in vitro, than the mice were given subcutaneous injection, or oral. After injection of the lethal dose of venom the ethanol were injected immediately at local of mice. Results Oral administration of 20 times the lethal dose of Agkistrodon acutus venom was not found the toxic performance. The toxicity of venom was significantly decreased after treatment with ethanol in vitro. After the mice was subcutaneous injected the lethal dose of Agkistrodon acutus venom, immediately injection of the 0.1~0.2 ml of 50%~75% ethanol in the local have some protection role. Conclusion The toxicity of Agkistrodon acutus snake venom in vitro after treatment with ethanol is significantly decreased. Oral administration of this venom is safe. When the snakebite by Agkistrodon acutus to inject the ethanol immediately in local may be has a therapeutic effect.
