Ion energy spectra analyzers for magnetized plasma

1999
Ion energy spectra analyzers for investigation of plasma in an axial magnetic field are considered. These analyzers can measure the velocity spectra of the magnetized ion components of dense plasma. The small inlet hole method is used in presented analyzers for spatial separation of electron and ion flows. The construction and operating features of these analyzers are described. The described analyzers have been used for measurements of ion parameters of plasma flow with magnetized titanium ions generated by the universal plasma source. Experimental results are presented and discussed.
