The relationship between hemodynamics and Traditional Chinese Medicine pulse conditions in digestive diseases by endoscopy

2011
Objective: To observe the relationship between hemodynamics and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) pulse conditions in digestive diseases by endoscopy. Methods: 1 150 patients with digestive disease and 150 healthy cadres(control group) who have received physical examination in our hospital were collected. The clinical analytic comparison and statistics methods were used for the comparative study of hemodynamics and TCM pulse conditions in digestive diseases by endoscopy and for investigation of the relationship between them. Results: Patients with digestive diseases whose TCM pulse conditions were exactly the same as the diagnosis by endoscope accounted for 75.5%,and those basically the same accounted for 19.21%.The total accuracy was 94.78%.Compared with the control group, stroke volume(SV),cardiac index(CI),left ventricular ejection time(LVET) and arterial compliance(AC) reduced in groups with all sorts of digestive diseases(P0.01) while pre-ejection period(PEP) and total peripheral resistance(TPR) increased(P0.01).SV and CI of ulcerative diseases decreased compared with general inflammatory diseases in digestive diseases of esophageal, gastric, duodenal and escherichia mucosa(P0.05).Conclusion: The development of digestive diseases is in positive correlation with myocardial contractility, cardiac output and arterial compliance while in negative correlation with total peripheral resistance. It is supposed that this may be the hemodynamics basis of TCM pulse conditions in digestive disease.
