La sombra del horror en el Patrimonio Nacional

espanolLa vida fluye como si fuese una novela, y muchas narraciones son interrumpidas por sucesos que se convierten en un episodio traumatico. Las estrategias para afrontarlo son distintas en cada persona; pero su actitud se refleja en el modo de actuar ante determinadas situaciones, actividades u objetos que recuerden el sufrimiento vivido. Sobrevivir a un campo de concentracion es, sin duda, una gran experiencia traumatica. Y mas de un millon de personas pasaron una media de cinco anos en uno de los casi trescientos campos de concentracion que existieron por toda la geografia espanola, muchos de los cuales fueron levantados en edificios ya existentes, algunos incluso Monumentos Nacionales. El presente trabajo, mediante el estudio de los distintos centros de exterminio y reeducacion franquistas, y a traves de la aplicacion de una metodologia psicologica, elabora una clasificacion arquitectonica y social de las distintas actitudes que podemos adoptar ante un patrimonio edilicio controvertido. Porque la actitud con la que nos enfrentamos a nuestros traumas se refleja tambien en la actitud con la que interactuamos con un monumento marcado por la sombra del horror. EnglishLife flows as if it were a novel, and many narrations are interrupted by events that turn into a traumatic episode. The strategies to deal with it are different for each person; but their attitude is reflected in the way they act in certain situations, or in relation to activities or objects that remind of the sufferings endured. Surviving a concentration camp is, without a doubt, a very traumatic experience. More than a million people spent an average of five years in one of the almost three hundred concentration camps that existed throughout the Spanish territory, many of which were raised in existing buildings, some even declared Monument. The current essay, through the study of the different extermination and re-education franquist camps, and through the application of a psychological methodology, elaborates an architectonic and social classification of the different attitudes that we can adopt regarding a controversial patrimonial building. Because the attitude with which we confront our traumas also reflects the attitude with which we interact with a monument marked by the shadow of horror.
