As transições políticas no Brasil e seu efeito na educação brasileira

2020
The study analyzes the political and economic transitions in Brazil, especially after the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff, in 2016, and their effects on the Brazilian educational field. It examines some reforms, policies, and actions that embody a political transition to ultra-liberalism in the conduct of the State, the economy, politics, culture, and education. This ultra-neoliberal agenda has made the uncompromising defense of economic freedom and financial-rentable capitalism, associated with an authoritarian and conservative perspective, in opposition to the democratic-participatory construction of a more social state, which marked out the expectations of the country’s re-democratization process, substantially embodied in the Federal Constitution approved in 1988.
