Research on virtual fixture assembly system based on 3DSMAX and VIRTOOLS

A method is presented that 3DSMAX and VIRTOOLS are used to develop the system of fixture virtual assembly according to the situation of the design and assembly of fixture.The main techniques used are researched.The virtual assembly system of roll-over drill of two holes in the connector of tractor muffler is developed by this method.It is indicated that virtual fixture assembly system based on 3DSMAX and VIRTOOLS can make designers optimize the design and shorten the develop cycle according to questions in the operating process and make trainees learn the structure of fixture and advance the achievement.
