Effects of xuebijing injection on limb ischemic-reperfusion injury in rabbits

Objective To study the effects and mechanisms of Xuebijing injection on limb ischemic-reperfusion injury in rabbits.Methods Totally 20 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group(10) and control group(10).The Crinnion's model of limb ischemic reperfusion injury was used in this study.4ml xuebijing injection per kg of body weight was given in rabbits of experimental group and the same amount of saline was given in control group after reperfusion.Venous blood was collected before and 1,2,4,6 hours after reperfusion.The clotting function(APTT,FIB,PT_INR,PT),biochemistry items(ALB,LDH,CK),MDA and SOD level,pathologic section were detected.Results The APPT was extended significantly at 1 and 4 hours after reperfusion in the experimental group when compared with the control group(P0.05);the FIB level was increased significantly at 4 hours and 6 hours after reperfusion(P0.05);the ALB level at 1 hour after reperfusion did not have much difference compared with before reperfusion(P0.05).The LDH and CK level of the experimental group after reperfusion was much lower than that of the control group(P0.05);The MDA level of the experimental group at 2 hours after reperfusion was much lower than that of the control group(P0.05);the SOD activity of the experiment group from 1 hour to 4 hours after reperfusion was much higher than that of the control group(P0.05).There was no statistical difference in femoris TNF-α,IL-6 and wet to dry ratio between the two groups.Conclusion Xuebijing may decrease the injured degree of limb ischemic-reperfusion injury in rabbits.
