The method includes the steps: acquiring a plurality of web pages by a search engine; acquiring the two-dimensional codes of the web pages by the search engine; analyzing content information according to index information by the search engine; and building a two-dimensional code index database according to the index information and the analyzed content information by the search engine to provide search service for the two-dimensional codes. The two-dimensional codes include the index information and the content information. By the method, the search engine can more effectively search and analyze the content information of the two-dimensional codes, so that visibility of the content information of the two-dimensional codes on a search engine platform is improved, a user can conveniently retrieve a large number of hidden two-dimensional codes according to the index information, and high efficiency, simplicity and usability are realized.
