Evaluation of intervention on safe immunization injection in countrysides of Pingliang city.

Objective To evaluate the effects of intervention on safe immunization injection in countrysides of Pingliang city,and to provide basis for formulating scientific evaluation system for safe immunization injection.Methods The typical sampling method was used to select two underdeveloped counties.Two villages from each county were selected and divided randomly into control group and intervention group.The villagers in intervention group received comprehensive intervention.The questionnaire survey were given to the villagers of the two groups one year later and the results were analyzed by Chi-square test.Results The awareness of "inform and request before inoculation ","observation after inoculation","correct disposal of used syringe" and "safe injection related knowledge"were significantly enhanced in village doctors after intervention(from 45.71%,54.29%,82.86% and 54.29% before intervention to 97.14%,100.00%,100.00% and 94.29% after intervention),and were significantly different from those of control group(P0.05).The awareness of "unsafe injection may cause transference of disease","requirement of disposable syringes ","transference routes of hepatitis B" and "vaccine types"significantly enhanced in the parents after intervention.The differences of knowledge awareness in the parents were significant between the control group and intervention group after intervention(P0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive intervention contributions to the safe immunization injection in countrysides.
