The invention belongs to the field of measurement and control technology, in particular, relates to a high-precision calibration plate for camera parameter calibration and a manufacturing method thereof, and aims to solve the problems that the point position precision is not high and the calibration plate size is smaller in the prior art. The calibration plate comprises a calibration plate basic plate (1), mark points (2) and reinforcing ribs (3); the calibration plate basic plate (1) is a square metal-prepared thin plate, the front side of the calibration plate basic plate (1) is uniformly provided with the mark points (2) so as to form a mark point (2) array, and the back face of the calibration plate basic plate is provided with the reinforcing ribs (3). The manufacturing method comprises the six steps of datum face processing, blind-hole array processing, stabilizing treatment, fashioning after stabilizing, filled cylinder processing and corrosion treatment. The calibration plate manufactured by the manufacturing method calibrates camera parameters; and compared with calibration results of a calibration plate processed by a plastic spraying method, a re-projection error of the former one is 0.18 pix, a re-projection error of the latter one is 0.58 pix, and the calibration accuracy of the former one is increased by more than 3 times.
