MEASUREMENT OF PARTS COMMONALITY INDICES FOR ASSESSING PRODUCT FAMILIES CONSIDERING SUPPLY CHAIN

The DCI and TCCI are methods for evaluating commonality indices. This paper proposes the new method extending the PIQ table to calculate the DCI, TCCI. From the analysis of variance the DCI and TCCI calculated using the priority PIQ table yield the same result. Weight coefficients for determining the target of sharing of common parts are shown. Discuss the method of sharing information such as the number of parts, shape, size, weight, accuracy, reliability, etc. of parts by the code number like GT(Group Technology). Then, cluster analysis is computed to share the parts. The weighting factor is proposed for the target setting of sharing of common parts. Verify how price fluctuations of parts purchased from suppliers will affect the Profit and Loss statement statement. The formula of sharing of common parts is derived using value added ratio, sales profit ratio, cost ratio and so on.
