The present invention provides an automotive four-wheel drive control method and system, the four-wheel drive automobile control method comprising: receiving a start signal, according to the mechanical four-wheel drive mode enabling signals; vehicle speed signal at the mechanical four-wheel drive mode, the receiver and a steering signal; said vehicle speed signal and the rotation angle of the steering wheel in accordance with the control signal. Four-wheel drive automobile control method and system of the present invention is applicable to a mechanical four-wheel drive vehicle, vehicle safety performance can be improved in mechanical four-wheel drive mode.
