Lobomycosis is a cronic infection of the skin that exhibits a wide range of dermathological manifestations characterized by Keloid-like lesions so as nodular, verrucous an the even ulcerous forms. The aetiological agent in the international scientific community is frecuently designated as Loboa Loboi. Recently it has been replaced by Lacazia Loboi. The present review deals with the most important historical, clinical and epidemiological aspects, by mentioning experiences in Venezuela.
