New carbonyl tricyclohexylphosphine complexes of ruthenium(II) and osmium(II)

Abstract The preparation and properties of a new type of monocarbonyl complex RuCl 2 (CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 (PCy 3  tricyclohexylphosphine) is reported. The reaction of carbon monoxide with RuCl 2 (CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 or OxHX(CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 with X = Cl or Br results in the formation of the complexes RuCl 2 (CO) 2 (PCy 3 ) 2 and OsHX(CO) 2 (PCy 3 ) 2 respectively. The preparation and properties of the complexes RuCl(CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 (CS 2 H) and OsBr(CO)(PCy 3 ) 2 (CS 2 H) are described.
