The present invention relates to a method of creating an animated series of photographs. A photograph acquisition device analyzes the images to detect a lack of movement. The detection of a lack of movement during a specific period starts taking a photograph and storing the image data in the following photographs. The user enters a command to complete the acquisition of the following photographs. Data from different photographs are assembled to form the animated sequel. When reproducing, later reproduced by displaying successively each photograph, the time between each photograph reproduction is possibly introduced by the user. The invention also concerns a photograph acquisition device designed to acquire said animated photography on.
