Significantly more eggs were deposited by the braconid,Pholetesor ornigis (Weed), in the sap-feeding larvae (i.e. instars 1–3), than in the tissue-feeding larvae (i.e. instars 4–5), of its host, the spotted tentiform leafminer,Phyllonorycter blancardella (Fabr.).
