PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device that emits light of uniform intensity distribution and to provide a projection device using this light source device.SOLUTION: A light source device 70 comprises: a plurality of first solid light-emitting elements 711 that emit a first light beam; a plurality of second solid light-emitting elements 712 that emit a second light beam; light separation mirrors 761 provided in correspondence with the group of the first solid light-emitting elements 711 and the group of the second solid light-emitting elements 712, and configured to separate, through transmission and reflection, the first light beams made incident from the first direction and the second light beams made incident from the second direction different from the first direction; and reflection mirrors 762 provided in correspondence with the light separation mirrors 761 and configured to reflect the one first light beam and second light beam separated by the light separation mirrors 761, in the same direction as the other first light beam and second light beam separated by the light separation mirrors 761.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
