Key Technologies of Shield Boring of Beijing Rail Transit Line Project

Along with the rapid development of MRT project in urban areas,shield tunneling method has been widely used in tunnel construction.On Basis of the shield boring experience in the construction of Beijing Rail Transit Line from Beijing Railway Station to West Beijing Railway Station in respect of shield launching,boring under the city-defense river and boring under Xuanwumen Metro Station,the author presents the key technologies of constructing tunnels in sand and pebble ground by shield boring method.This paper can provide reference for the construction of similar projects in the future.
