Análise comparativa entre os resultados de simulações termoenergéticas de edificações sob diferentes condições de entrada das propriedades dos vidros

This study aims to compare the results from two different conditions to insert the glazing proprieties into the En ergyPlus program: simplified method and detailed method. The investigation was performed by means of a computer simulation analysis of a dwelling, for Sao Paulo e Sao Luis climate. The simplified method allows to inserts just three basic glazing proprieties: thermal transmittance, solar factor and visible transmittance. The detailed method allows inserting more characteristics such as solar transmittance, front and back side visible reflectance at normal Incidence, emissivity and conductivity. The study compares the performance of five glass: colourless, colourless laminate, green laminate, double green low-e and solar control double silver. Based on these results, one can conclude that the simplified method significantly modifies the simulation results. It is important to mention that for high performance glazing the simplified method showed lower results of energy consumption than the detailed method.
