Plane thermo-elastic waves in an initially stressed medium

Abstract The propagation of plane thermo-elastic waves of small amplitude in an infinite body is studied, the body having been subjected to large uniform extensions, at constant temperature, in three perpendicular directions, two of the extension ratios being equal.
