Introduction: Pregnant women who become infected with chickenpox at the end of pregnancy have a higher potential risk of the newborn the purchase. Conclusion: Well-controlled studies on the use of acyclovir in newborns have not been reported so far. Management suggests using acyclovir and IVIG when not available varicella- zoster immunoglobulin (VZIG), handling is associated with an adequate rate of survival or even higher compared to the high mortality refer some series in the past. The IVIG has been used to prevent chickenpox after exposure, when VZIG is not available. The clinical efficacy of IVIG is not exactly known.
