eSIE.CAR: Die innovative Wagenkastentechnologie für wirtschaftliche Regionalzüge von Siemens

The objective of the eSIE.CAR project is to allow a better efficiency and increased use for customers of future vehicle concepts by development of a high-innovative modular car body technology. The present article describes results which arise from the approaches for the process organization and process optimization, for the use of innovative materials, for the use of modern manufacturing technologies and for the design of the modular structure of a car body. The overall concept formed by Siemens TS TR with regard to economical regional trainsets bundles the results of the activities of the total project in the design, the manufacturing and the validation of an exemplary car body technology carrier.
