Nnonlinear Finite Element Simulation on a Frame Structure of Steel Reinforced Concrete Beam and Angle Steel Concrete Column under Horizontal Loading

An FEM simulation for a frame structure of steel reinforced concrete beam and angle steel concrete column was conducted by finite element software ABAQUS,and the results for the simulation and tests are compared.3D finite element model of the frame was established in this simulation,and a series of numerical simulation technologies were described,such as selecting element types,meshing element,defining material models,applying load,and solving skills.Through the FEM simulation,the load-displacement curves and failure modes of the frame were acquired,and the results agreed well with the tests.The investigation shows that the loading process of a frame structure can be simulated well by software ABAQUS,based on the rational selecting parameters.
