The Initial Phase of the EOG-Oscillation

1978
The first minutes in the course of the electrooculogram are dominated by the ‘fast oscillation of the corneoretinal potential’ (Kolder & Brecher, 1966). The potential reaches its peak within approximately 45 seconds. Light stimulation elicits a potential of corneonegative polarity. Transition from light to darkness causes a corneopositive deflection.
