Public Policies for Convergence: ICT Regulation in Argentina (Políticas Públicas Para La Convergencia: La Regulación De Las Tic En La Argentina)

The aim of this paper is to analyze the new Argentinian Digital Law that seeks to regulate the development of telecommunications and information and communications technology (ICT). It studies the law itself, and the debates and discussions that preceded its enactment .Moreover, it describes the characteristics of the market for ICT services in Argentina, public policies in this area, and the challenges that are presented to regulate the convergence between audiovisual industries, telecommunications and informatics.
