Applicator (1) flexible for endoluminal application or interstitial endoscopic use for high frequency therapy of biological tissue or hollow organs, comprising a catheter high frequency (5) tubular with - a tube shaft (6) flexible having at least one continuous internal passage, - an electrode head (2) disposed at the distal end of the catheter high frequency (5), - an electric cable (9) with a connector (20) for generating high frequency (11), and - a connecting element (8) between the rod tube (6) and the cable (9), wherein the interior passage between the electrode head (2) and the connecting element ( 8) extends a traction element (12) and which is bonded so strongly to the electrode head (2) on the one hand and the connecting element (8) on the other hand and whose cross-sectional area and tensile strength they are dimensioned such that all external forces caused during a tra MENT acting on the catheter high frequency (5) can be transmitted to the connecting element (8) through the electrode head (2) and the traction element (12), and wherein the traction element (12 ) is electroconductive and is fixedly electroconductive both the head electrode (2) and the connector (20) for a high frequency generator, and wherein the traction element (12) and attachment to the electrode head (2 ) have a maximum tensile strength in the range of 70 to 300 N.
