Furfural i N-metil-2-pirolidon, otapala u procesima proizvodnje mazivih ulja

1993
Liquid-liquid extraction is the unique way of producing base oil in classic lubricating oil production. Furfural extraction used in the Rijeka Refinery is the most common extraction process. The NMP (N-methyl pirolidone) extraction process (dry and wet), licence Protected by Texaco and Exxon, is becoming well-known world wide. The intention of this work is to investigate of the possibility of changing the existing furfural extraction by the NMP extraction process so as to increase the process capacity for the same quality. In addition to this problem simulation analysis is done of alternative process schemes and the Process equipment for furfural extraction and NMP extraction (dry and wet). The simulation is achieved by several programs : the CONCEPT, the CHEM-CALC-program for Network analysis of heat equipment, the NORTON and the SULPAK programs for designing columns with random and structural packings.
