FPGA-Based Image Storage in Flash Lidar

The forms and signal processing methods of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) echo signal are becoming more and more complex. In order to ensure the reliability and accuracy of signal processing, we need to collect and store LiDAR echo signal for researching and analyzing in real time. The existing acquisition and storage system are difficult to meet the requirements of high-speed acquisition, long-time continuous storage and large capacity. A data storage system based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) and SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory) is designed in this paper. The system has the advantages of strong portability and low cost. It can be applied flexibly to different projects according to the needs of the designers.
