"e Geomorphologic - Glacier Interest Places (LIGG) were invento - ried, and a#er was done its Quanti!cation (Q) based on the following criteria: the intrinsic value (A), the potential use (B), and the protection needs (C). "e geosites that obtained the highest Q values are: the Glacial Cirque of Cocoes de Concelinho; the "U"-shaped Glacial Valley of the Vez River; and the Moraines in the Couce River valley near the Marinho ponds. "ose are geosites of national/international relevance. "e Cirque of Cocoes de Concelinho is in the !rst priority with regard to the geoconservation strategy development, followed by the Vez Glacial Valley. "e Moraines in the Couce River were also included in the geoconservation strategy because they are landforms associated to the Cirque.
