Laser PIV System Used for Flow Field Displaying and Measuring

A particle image velocimetry(PIV) system is set up by authors and their collaborators to measure the flow fields in the high-speed water tunnel.The two Q-switches YAG lasers with wavelength of 532 nm,pulse duration of 8 ns,pulse energy of 100mJ are used as the light source.Polystyrene tiny balls with silver coating,diameter of 200 μ m,are employed as tracer particles.The experimental resutls show that the detecting error in the non-model flow field is less than 1.3 %,and the error in the majority area of the detecting domain is less than 2 %.
